Beagle Paws Fundraiser

Now that I’ve learned the basics on my new sewing machine (old one had to go…too frustrating to work with and I’m barely capable of using one as it is) I feel that my dog bandannas are well constructed enough to sell them.

In the meantime, I’m donating the first few batches to my favourite animal non-profit – Beagle Paws.

Both of our dogs are Beagle Paws adoptions and I love their foster program.

I’ll be doing my Building For Beagles Fundraiser (Christmas Ornaments) again this year but, for now, the monies from the sales of these bandannas is going towards some BP vet bills.

Here’s the latest packaging:

I’m varying the packaging so I don’t get sick of making the bandannas.  If you’ve followed my blog at all (when I do post!) you’ll know that the packaging is my favourite part of crafting.

These little bags are pretty easy to do once you’ve cut out all the pieces and added the scor-tape.

I’m off to make a few more bags!

I Made A Card!

Cards No Comments »

It’s been so long since I’ve made a card.  I’ve been playing with textile crafts lately and have so much sewing and cutting paraphernalia scattered around my craft room there simply hasn’t been any space for paper crafting.

I finished a (gasp!) Christmas stocking last night – forgive the time of year for that but I don’t really sew and it was my first time making a stocking – and decided that it was time to tuck the fabric and sewing machine away for a bit and get back into playing with my neglected paper crafting supplies.

I whipped this card up fairly quickly tonight.  It’s simple but colourful and cute:

Image stamp is MFT, sentiment is Simon Says Stamp.  I treated myself to a couple of orders a few weeks ago and received both parcels this week.  Perfect timing to switch crafting gears.

Hoping to spend a little more time in the craft room this weekend – unfortunately, it will be mostly to do a bit or reorganizing/purging.  Ugh!
