Santa Paws

I was playing with a dog-themed Christmas stamp set a couple of days ago but I’m not quite ready to break out all the Christmas craft paraphernalia so I kept them clean and simple:

I used colouring pencils and OMS to colour the images – just because I wanted to sit in the TV room with DH and the dogs as I’ve spent a LOT of time in my craft room this week.

I also modified the middle dog to make it look more like a beagle (these are dachshunds).

It’s a pretty cute set – I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of it once I start Christmas paper crafts.

Enjoy what’s left of the weekend.  I’m back to work tomorrow after a week off.  Wish I had more to show for it but it was a nice break.

Santa Cam!

I saw a similar ornament on a friend’s Facebook feed a week or so ago and HAD to make them.

I had as much fun creating the box as I did making the ornament (with some help from my graphics whiz husband).

All the sides of the box have text/graphics (not showing it in the picture as I don’t want the graphics copied) including a disclaimer that elves – rather than Santa – may actually monitor the camera.

I thought it was a cute alternative to Elf on the Shelf.

Working on a small home decor project today (dog-themed, of course) and hope to have pictures of that for the blog soon.

Wedding Bells

Cards Comments Off on Wedding Bells

I’ve been working on the Beagle Paws fundraiser the last few weeks but did manage to squeeze a few other projects into my craft room hours.  Today I’m sharing a wedding card but the picture doesn’t do it justice (shiny gold cardstock plus a shaker window…hard to photograph – not that I try that hard).

The card may look simple but it used some tricky techniques – heat embossing (which I hate as much as glitter) and a shaker window.  The openings in the ampersand are shakers.

There is a white border around the card but it blends into my background.

Back tomorrow with a cute Christmas ornament.
