It’s a Party!
Cards July 28th, 2010These little guys are going out in the mail ASAP.
One of my brothers and his wife are “coming home” for a visit in two weeks and we are going to have a family barbeque while they are here. DH and I are hosting so I thought it would be fun to make invitations to mail out.
I used some older K&Co paper and a Michael’s stamp (it’s the only bbq I have in stamp form) for the invitations. I didn’t think my family would notice/know/care if I used the latest papers on the cards I made (I was debating DeLovely but I’ve got other plans for that)
These whipped up pretty quickly as I used punches instead of nesties to cut out the circles and the scallops. I used my (new!) Kemore 1/2 Size sewing machine for the dainty zig zag (I never liked how huge the zig zag was on the Pixie) at the bottom and spritzed some grey ink here and there because I just didn’t like all that empty yellow space at the top of the card. If you’re in Canada and you were looking at a small sewing machine I can tell you I’m liking this so far even though the bobbin is a bit more complicated than other machines I’ve used. It’s a sturdy little thing!
I should be back tomorrow with a Happy Mail offering …you don’t want to miss that. I’ve got a mishmash of scraps all ready to go. I’m throwing in a Whipper Snapper image for you to colour too so check back.

Meuhhh…family don’t know nothin’ about the latest in paper fashion trends…I’m sure they love any and all the crafty mail they get from you. I really like your invites, they are summery, colorful and spritzy! Nice work…
Love the bright colors.
This is so bright and festive! I bet your family loved them! Enjoy your visit with your brother and SIL!
