For some of you, Summer might still be well underway but here in St. John’s it’s certainly cooled off this past week or so.  Some days have been overcast and muggy but the chill of Autumn can be felt in the wind that sweeps in from the Atlantic Ocean (which surrounds my city on 3 sides – brrrrrrr!)

I have placed a few craft supply orders online lately (and am planning on heading to my LSS very soon) and my Ontario order got here fastest (the rest are coming from the US so it could be a few weeks yet!).  In among my purchases was a 6X6 pad of Doodlebug patterned paper – Happy Harvest.

This paper is beyond cute if you like earthy colours and all things Autumnal.  I tried to buy some coordinating stickers and gems but the stickers were sold out and I did manage to order one package of gems but they’re in a US order so it will be a little while before I can add them to my projects.

The stickers I wanted most were the cutest owls. (you can see the whole collection HERE).  Since I couldn’t get them I decided to dust off my Cricut and see if I could make something similar.  I did find an owl that worked for my purposes and whipped up a half-dozen notepads (matching beaded pens will be made later):

It was a nice start to some Fall projects.   However, now I have to clear off some space on my worktop as there are Fall, Halloween and Christmas items EVERYWHERE!  So hard to focus when new toys arrive!
