As mentioned yesterday,  I had a few cards to make that need mailing to the UK and they are not going in packages so they need to be Canada Post friendly.  I can’t believe how difficult it is for me to make a card these days without reaching for my buttons.   If only I’d taken to my Primas as well (if you checked out my room tour the other day you might note that there is a bit of a Prima problem…it was a phase…I’m over it).

Anyway, today’s card is a somewhat post friendly, masculine card.  If you haven’t picked up the Imaginisce Apple Cider release you might want to consider throwing it in your cart next time you shop…the patterns are great for masculine cards.  Case in point:

I should mention that I also used some Basic Grey paper – if you’re ever unsure what to do with the “plain” pages at the back of the pad, use it in place of cardstock for some added “wow”.

I was a bit adventurous with the sewing machine on this card.   My lines are not that smooth but I think I can get the hang of it with some practice.  I love how the swooshy sewing makes the yellow paper look a bit like wood and it was a good way to add some interest without reaching for bulky ribbon.  The only thing that doesn’t make this as post friendly as it should be is that I couldn’t resist using dimensionals to pop up my image and sentiment.  I just can’t leave them flat on the card.  Not gonna happen.

Incidentally, this card should have been in the mail a week ago if I wanted it to get there on time…at least it will be postmarked before the birthday boy’s big day.

Enjoy your Monday…if you can!
