Give me a break…I have quite a few bird cards in my portfolio and there are only so many things I can think of for a post title. (if brother Scott is reading, please do NOT send me a list of 250 bird-related puns…I don’t think I can take it!)

I was extremely pleased with this card when I made it.  The colours in my image are vibrant (still working on the colouring skillz peeps…) and I think they do justice to the amazing Carolyn Gavin papers featured on the card. (just can’t get enough)  I even managed to find a couple of prima flowers that almost match the cardstock and paper. (I’ve got lots of primas…just never the right colour)

Birdie’s ballon is stamped a second time and pop-dotted to the card.  I struggled (once again) with the debate over adding a sentiment but decided not to detract from the patterns in the paper.  This is another smart purchase by my friend Karen who has graciously allowed me to use some of her stamps before she even inks them herself.  (I am mounting them for her so I hope she feels she’s getting some benefit while I get to play with her new toys first!)

I just need to add a sentiment to the inside of this card and it will be ready to leave the nest (that was for you, Scott!).

I’ve got another one to share tomorrow if I can find the time to blog. (nasty basement repair job sucking my creative chi at the moment…foundation crack – the horrors!)
