So, I was playing around with some dollar store finds tonight…I bought a package of wooden black cats in the Halloween section of Dollarama that had the bonus of looking like “chalkboard art”.  For a buck I figured I couldn’t go wrong.

I also wanted to see if I could put any of “last season’s” Halloween paper to good use since I only purchased one itty bitty package of 6″X6″ paper this year (and I’m trying to resist buying more…).  Since most Halloween themed crafting supplies use the same colours I figured I could meld some of 2013’s trends with last year…and the year before…and the year before that:

The cat paper is Bazzill that I picked up at Winners last year (and used to make the treats I handed out at the door for the neighbourhood children).  The green paper is from a Recollections pad that I can honestly say was a waste of money.  Don’t like the quality or the patterns.  This pad has to go in the give away pile.  I added some Washi tape (the dots are from Doodlebug’s Happy Haunting line that just came out and the paw prints were picked up at my LSS – don’t know the brand).  I also sprinkled on some enamel dots that are also from the Happy Haunting Doodlebug line.

Not too bad for a first attempt – very little stamping so these were a snap to make.  Not sure what I’m doing with them but I think I can put them to use.  Probably best to stick with making treats and packaging with my Halloween supplies…
