I’ve finally managed to squeeze some time (and energy!) into posting my blog candy details…they’ll be at the end of this post.  First, I’d like to share another Christmas card with you (I really like how it turned out!)

This card uses two of Anna Wight’s new cling mounted sets (Whipper Snapper) – Spirit of Christmas and Winter Quilt.  I’ve also chosen some amazing Basic Grey patterned paper (Wassail – last year’s release) to go with the image and I think the result is very country and cute:

I am having some difficulty taking good pictures today (it’s gloomy  ETA: The sun is pretending to shine…I took a slightly better picture and I’ve updated the blog…I am just not a good picture taker!) but I hope you can see the detail in my card.

Santa’s beard, hat and cuffs are all covered in a thin layer of fun flock (didn’t want to lose any detail from the stamped image) and the star on the tree is glittered (though I don’t think you can see that)  The four corners of the card are watercoloured quilt squares from Anna’s set.

I inked the edges of all the papers just because I enjoy distressing my cards!  The embellishment is made from punching out two snowflakes and covering the top one in some Martha Stewart snow glitter.  If you’re making Christmas cards this year I highly recommend picking up a bottle…it goes a long way.  I added a red button tied with hemp. (’cause if it’s an Anna card it’s gotta have a rustic embellie…it’s the law!!!)

I’m going to try to take a better picture later and will update when I’ve got one (the sun is debating showing itself so there’s a chance of getting some light in the house today).

Now on to the blog candy (I took this picture a couple of days ago so you can probably see the contents):

My blog candy contains:

8 metal christmas charms from Making Memories

8 felt Christmas shapes (they are self-adhesive but I always end up gluing them)

4 12″ lengths of Christmas ribbon

2 packages of Christmas stickers (Added Touch and Jolee’s Boutique)

various scraps of Christmas paper from last year’s Stack from Michael’s

All you have to do to win my blog candy is leave a comment on this post telling me your favourite Christmas card embellishment. (or Christmas scrapbook embellishment if you don’t make cards)

You get a bonus entry (or three!) if you leave a comment on either of my next three posts (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).  I will use a random number generator on Thursday to pick the winner.  Please include your email address so I can contact you if you win.  This contest is open to EVERYONE.  I will ship worldwide.
