Didn’t get to play along with last week’s Mojo Monday challenge at my LSS but I’m back on track today – mostly due to today being a holiday in Canada.  It doesn’t hurt that it’s also a wet, somewhat foggy day in my neck of the woods so my original plan to either clean the winter dirt off my car or stain the front steps has been put on the back burner (boo, hoo…not!)

My LSS is celebrating its 10th anniversary – which I think is fantastic for a local small business and doubly so considering the evolution of paper crafting and “big box” stores since the Paperie opened.

I started papercrafting about 6 months after the Paperie opened – it’s moved locations 3 times since the original store opened its doors but I’ve crossed the threshold of all three stores. (not as much as I’m sure they’d like but I certainly am “pro local” and have been spending more there since they shifted into carrying more items that are my style)

Anyway, back to the card (did you fall asleep?)…

The challenge for their “10th Birthday” is to make a birthday card.  I actually made several cards this morning and one was a birthday card but  I wanted to make one especially for the challenge.

I’m not 100% happy with the way it turned out but I’ve been playing with watercolouring which is trending – again – so here goes:

Happy Birthday Paperie!
