(not a typo!)

Well, germs have struck again!  I was barely over the bout of bronchitis I had in December when a nasty cold decided to visit.  It started on Monday with a sore throat and was a full blown COLD by Wednesday.  As a result, not much has been done in my craft room.  All I did each night when I got home from work was lounge around trying to store up enough energy to meet the next day.  I was so tired of napping and reading (pretty much all I had the energy for) that I started crocheting a blanket so I’d feel a little productive while lounging on the sofa.

Just before my cold took over, I started a Valentine’s Day project.  I worked on it for a couple of hours yesterday and finished it up today.  It’s for a little fundraiser for a very worthwhile cause.

I made a set of 4 tiny Valentine’s Day cards, altered a mailbox to package them in, altered a frame and stamped a decorative insert for the frame, covered a wooden tray and made a beaded pen and covered a mini composition book.  I also quickly decorated a heart shaped plastic box and made a beaded bracelet to tuck inside.  It was quite a bit of work but I think it turned out rather cute!

Here is a (bad) shot of the whole ensemble…you can scroll down for individual pictures…I’ll share the cards in a separate post tomorrow as 1. there are already way too many pictures in this post and B. It’s not fair that I made all this stuff and only have one post to show for it!:

That’s it for now.  Stop by again tomorrow if you want to see the cards!
