Well, my trip to England is fast approaching (we are visiting DH’s family) and I only have a few days to finish Christmas cards and birthday cards.  Incidentally, I’d only have until now to get the cards done whether we were visiting or not as birthdays are just weeks away and we have to mail our Christmas parcels by the end of October if we want them to arrive in time for Dec. 25th (’cause we send them surface mail so we don’t have to take out a 2nd mortage!).

I think today’s card is the winner for my in-laws.  I like to use a less “commercial” image for Christmas cards for several of my relatives and this Stampendous image is perfect.  It’s still cute enough that I can make a fun card while still focusing on the “true” meaning of Christmas.

The photo is a little dark but I’m quite pleased with the card.  It’s a very simple layout but the patterned papers are so richly coloured it doesn’t need ribbon or other embellishments.  I couldn’t resist attaching one star shaped rhinestone to the sentiment.  It’s shaped somewhat like the “Star of Bethlehem”.

One down, 3 to go!
