I’ve bought a lot of new craft supplies lately and still haven’t properly organized them in my room so making cards is a bit daunting at the moment.  I’ll be spending this weekend sorting, organizing and culling some of my supplies.  The culling is the hardest part for me (and most collectors of papercrafting supplies!) but something has to go.

In the meantime, I had a request for a notebook from one of my co-workers (in a different department so not a regular recipient of the stuff I make for work) and whipped this up in no time at last night:

I was inspired by a card that was linked up on the Paper Smooches website (card by Val Stangle) and I know I’ll be using this layout again.  I simplified it a little (as is my usual MO – I usuallly drop a few of the layers/embellishments on cards that I CASE) though her card is wonderful.  I just didn’t want a bulky bow interferring with the opening and closing of the notebook.  It was nice to use one of my shaped paperclips and a few rhinestones from my stash.

The paper is My Mind’s Eye (except the light pink – that’s Basic Grey – if you ever wonder what to do with all the plain patterned paper in the back of the Basic Grey pads, this is one way to go) and the stamp/die are from PaperTreyInc.

Enjoy the rest of your day.  One more day until the weekend and I’m REALLY looking forward to it!
