Have you ever noticed that I don’t make cards with floral stamps?  Flowers just don’t do it for me (unless they are uber cute Prima flowers in little glass bottles!) so I have hardly any and never break them out to use…

However, I had to come up with a card for an 85th birthday (which is a pretty cool age to live to be!) and the card had to be purple (or some shade thereof) so I came up with this:

Excuse the glare on the cracked glass part…but you get the idea.

I haven’t used this technique in about 2 years and I’m not really sure why.  I keep hopping around styles and trying different things so some techniques get buried under the huge list of things I want to try.

Not much to tell about this card – tons of distressing (Ranger Linen), I cracked open some metal numbers from my stash and used my labels nesties which I got at the same time as the scalloped hearts.  The cardstock is naturals and certainly celery and the flower image is an Inkadinkadoo set (I think!)

Must go – a sick husband awaits.
