Before you know it, Valentine’s Day will be here (seriously!) and once again,  I will not have made enough cards for the occasion.

However, my first card has been made incredibly early because I have a new Valentine’s themed stamp – Meet Cupig!

Of course, now that you’ve seen Cupig I will also have to admit that I have some new patterned paper as well.   The paper is from a K&Company Occasion pack – I can’t remember the name of it but there are Valentine’s, Christmas, Halloween and Easter themed papers in the pack.  The papers are heavy weight and double-sided.

The stamp is from High Hopes and is one of several I received as a late birthday gift from my husband.  You’ll be seeing several stamps from High Hopes over the next few weeks as I plan to ink all of them as soon as possible.

I feel like my water-colouring is improving and I was really happy with how my pig turned out.  You can actually ALMOST see the glitter on his wings in the picture too.  Once I feel I’ve mastered water-colouring, picture taking will be next on my list of things to improve.

Oh, I also got a Making Memories Desktop organizer for Christmas.  I got Rich to wall-mount it for me and it will now be my inspiration station.  Many of the more organized card-makers out there (Michelle Wooderson for example) use them and it’s a great idea – you can see what you actually already own for making cards for a particular holiday.  If my room ever looks clean again (I’ve been purging older supplies) I will post a shot of the inspiration station.

Must jet…work awaits.
