Whew!  Between filling Father’s Day orders, posting on the PWCO blog and creating this custom order, I have had a busy weekend in my craft room.  It looks like a bomb went off in here and I’m not even finished yet!

I’ve been having fun making cards in different sizes lately.   I’d do that more often but I try to stick to the standard sizes as it’s more economical – larger sizes waste cardstock and I only keep 2 sizes of envelope on hand (invitation size and 5″X5″).

However, I had a special request for a card and the only way I could make what they wanted was to combine two different Whipper Snapper stamps.   Once I’d successfully created and coloured my image, I knew it just wouldn’t look right on a quarter-fold card. (there was less than a half inch of wiggle room and that was before I matted the image!)

Enter the 4″X7″ card.   I chose this size because I had directions for making an envelope for this size on the packaging of my Enveloper (a birthday gift from MIL last year).   It was just the right size and I whipped up a card in no time.  Here’s what I ended up with:

Cute, n’est pas?  (the card is resting on the envelope that I made.)

Well, I have to get back to filling orders and then I’m hoping to tidy up my room – I still haven’t shown you my newest work area (part of it needs to be painted but it will have to wait until I’m in the mood…) and if I tidy up I might remember to take a picture of it.

I’ll be back tomorrow!
