It’s been a while…

I can’t really tell you why I haven’t had time to make cards or blog about them but I haven’t.  I just find that all my time is sucked up by the end of the evening and my craft room (and my computer) doesn’t get a visit from me.   If I couldn’t access my email on my lunch breaks I wouldn’t even get to clean out my inbox!

This week doesn’t look like it’s going to be a lot better –  I need to schedule a haircut, buy some birthday presents, and get something repaired in addition to all of life’s daily minutiae.  That might not sound like that much but for me adding these things to my schedule will suck up most of the time I have for crafting. (plus the energy to design a card even if I do get time to play!)

Now that I’m finished whining, on to a card!

I whipped up this little guy last week because I’m trying to get my Whipper Snapper stamps back into rotation.  With the influx of new products I got for my birthday and Christmas (both in December) I haven’t managed to get back to my older stamps for a little while (I try to use every new stamp and every pad of new paper at least once before I use anything else).  I did just place an order for a few new Whipper Snappers so there’ll be lots to see once they arrive.

I used Basic Grey Hopscotch paper for the background and paper pieced my egg for what I think is a cool effect.  I also managed to use one of my newer Nestability dies for the computer-generated sentiment.

The scalloped edge on my paper was created by using a rectangle Nestability.  You don’t ALWAYS have to run out and buy every new product that’s available.   In many cases you can make do with what you have on hand (though buying certainly is fun!)

I hope to be back tomorrow or the next day with an Easter card…we’ll see how the week goes!
