Baby cards – I seem to need them in clusters.  I can go months without needing one and suddenly I’ll need 3 in the same week.

This little girl card uses up some scraps that were piling up on my desk.  In fact, I’ve been trying really hard to keep the scraps down to a minimum.  When my little tray fills up, I weed out the smaller stuff and give it away to a friend’s daughter.  It’s doing me no good buried under dozens of other scraps.  This system works for me in a way it wouldn’t have when I first started making cards (when every scrap was precious and you were looking for one sheet wonders so you could squeeze every last square inch out of a sheet of patterened paper).  I now have so much paper that if I never bought another pad of it I would never run out (but that won’t stop me from adding to my collection – after all, I don’t smoke and a pad of 6X6 is cheaper than one package of cigarettes).

Anyway, on to the card…it uses Basic Grey something or other…Urban Prairie?  Yeah, I think that’s it.  I used a Whipper Snapper stamp (baby gaga) and I was HEAVILY influenced by a card I saw a while back by Alice Wertz.  She is an amazing card designer!  Love her stuff – she embellishes her cards in a much better way than I do but I like to keep my cards fairly clean in design.  Her cards are very inspirational.

Cute, no?  I don’t usually “fussy cut” my images but I was in the mood for something a little different.  I made another card using the same image with a very basic layout that I’ll share at a later date.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
