Three more papers from the scrap pile are reduced to tossable size!

I used a basic sketch (saw it on the High Hopes blog)  and a Penny Black stamp that I stumbled across in my “forgotten stamps” pile.  I’m an “out of sight, out of mind” crafter and many of my stamps are in a storage cube that I only dig through when I can’t find the right sentiment in the cd cases that are staring right at me while I’m crafting.

Today I was looking for a big enough image to use with this sketch and none of my larger “visible” stamps were inspiring me so I went through the cube and found a package of Penny Black stamps that haven’t seen the light for probably 2 years.

I used the colours in the patterned papers as inspiration for the colour choices on the image.  I also used some wink of stella glitter and a couple of enamel dots (no surprise there – wish these were around years ago – I’d have a lot less buttons and brads!)  Since you can’t see the glitter on the card, here’s a close up:

I don’t have Monday off – that’s mostly a government holiday here in NL (that’s Newfoundland, not Netherlands!) so I should probably do some responsible things today like bake muffins for our lunches and plan our meals for the week.

If you do have a holiday tomorrow, I hope you do something crafty!
