Finally!  A chance to make a card just for fun!

I’ve been a busy bee lately – which is nice because I’m feeling the card makin’ love.  However, it’s nice to just have some time to play in my craft room.

I whipped this little guy (girl!) up tonight in no time at all.  I love it when that happens.  This is a bit of a go-to layout for me.  I just need to work on adding an embellishment somewhere or other to take it to the next level (next time).

I watercoloured this cute little robot image from PaperWorks Co (Peppy Tinheart) and added a little glitter to the flower, heart and grass for some bling factor (and I’m thrilled you can see the glitter in my picture).  I also decided to use some eyelets on this card as I had them out for the invitations I made over the weekend.  I’m sure I’m not the only one who has a whole collection of neglected eyelets hiding in their craft room…don’t even get me started on shaped brads…geez!)

The paper is Kioshi by Basic Grey and some Pumpkin Pie cardstock to go with my orange robot.  I know this is mean but I coloured the robot orange because Peggy at PaperWorks hates orange…kind of an inside joke the design team runs with from time to time.

I also took a minute to run the panel through my sewing machine before adding it to the card.  Love that Pixie!

On a different note, I ordered some Hug Snug seam binding to take a crack at making some wrinkle ribbon…I only have one batch done but I’m hoping to get a few more yards of ribbon coloured in the next day or two…I’ll let you know how it goes (just using SU dye ink for now).

It’s almost bedtime in St. John’s so I’ll end here.
