I really enjoy the graphic style of Hero Arts stamps.  They were my favourite stamps before discovering Whipper Snapper and now that they make so many great clear stamp sets I can’t resist buying some from time to time.

The images used on this card are quite typical of Hero Arts’ style.  Their designs are whimsical and cheerful so I decided to use some cheerful patterned paper to guide my colouring choices:

I do regret the choice of mat colour on the card – it seemed fine until I put everything together but I think I should have gone with a yellow instead.  The sentiment is perfect for a dog…they are just so happy about everything!

My cute puppy is cut out and attached with foam squares.  The tail was a little tricky as it’s a bit fragile – it started to curl a little as I cut it and I liked the look so I rolled it on a pencil to keep that curl.  It was a fun card to make and there are quite a few images in this set so you should see more soon!
