Today’s card is a birthday card for my niece, Ashleigh.  She’s probably a little too old for this card (she’s about to become a teenager) but she’s our only niece so she is the family princess.  I’m sure she won’t mind.

I made a matching notepad and pen but haven’t edited the photo yet – I’ll try to add it to this post if I can remember to do so!

Construction is fairly straight forward.  I paper pieced the dress and used my corner rounder to make the scalloped edges on both ends of the card.  I used PTI Chartreuse (love it!) cardstock as the base and wrapped some DMC embroidery floss around the card before tying it with a button. (I put a glue dot behind the button to prevent it from sagging on the card)  There’s a touch of glitter on the crown.

Supplies Used:

Cardstock: PTI Chartreuse and white, SU Bashful Blue, Recollections White (to mat patterned paper)
Patterned Paper: Imaginisce
Accessories: Corner rounder punch, Nesties, button, floss, doodlebug glitter
Colouring Medium: Copics
