The challenge continues…I really like how this one turned out.   As mentioned yesterday, the image was coloured last Christmas (pre-Copic days) when I only had a handful of copic markers (I got some for my birthday last December and more for Christmas but with the whole learning curve it took a while to get into them).

I know this Basic Grey paper was kept because it was just so darn cute.  I’m glad I got to use it on a card.

I used a sentiment on the front that wasn’t specific to Christmas.  I know the image and the paper is Winter-ish but you could totally give this to someone in January or even February – especially to a friend who’s having a bad day.

I embossed the red woodgrain paper with a snowflake cuttlebug folder just to give the card a little more dimension.  The edges of the paper was distressed for the same reason.

It literally took about 10 minutes to make this card thanks to the pre-coloured image.

I’m now at 15 12 scrap cards but it’s getting harder to motivate myself to make anything with the remaining scraps.   Some cards are better than others and it’s obvious on a few that I was just trying too hard.  Still, it is a good challenge and I’m glad I’m trying it but once a year is definitely the maximum for something like this.  Maybe this will teach me not to pile up so many unused images in 2012.
