A little pun there…

I’m not a huge fan of ice cream – or anything overly sweet for that fact.  I’m more of a bread/chips kind of person.  However, this Whipper Snapper image would not be nearly as cute if the bear was holding a bag of Ruffles.  Plus, I don’t think I could get away with multiple colours of glitter on a stack of potato chips!

I am still practicing with the Copics – I only have 2 brown markers and obviously need some lighter colours if I’m going to keep going.  I’m adding a couple to my wish list along with some paper (’cause you can never have too much!) and a stamp or two.  It’s June now so I can place another on-line order (I try to pace myself but it’s hard to do!) really soon.

Anyway, enough about me – let’s have a look at today’s card, shall we?

I was having some issues with my Pixie – it likes to skip a little when I’m doing zig zag stitches…it’s probably the tension but I’m not that good with sewing machines so it might take me a few more tries to iron out the problem.  I don’t know if I could do without a sewing machine for my cards now that I’ve been using one so often – I think it really adds to the look of the cards and has helped me stretch my creativity quite a bit.

I used my Kioshi papers by Basic Grey and a prima flower plus a Basic Grey button.  It’s a simple layout and a great way to use smaller pieces of patterned paper (though I have to admit I cut into whole sheets to make this card).

I’m not sure how I feel about the little dots I added around the image – just something I’m trying out.  I also think I will go back to distressing the edges of the pp before adhering it to my cards.  I don’t like how the paper just lies flat on the cardstock.

I think I’ll spend some time tidying my room tonight.  I’ve been quite productive lately and the paper scraps are starting to pile up.

Enjoy your day!  😉
