The cold is progressing nicely.  I should be feeling almost alive just in time to go to work on Monday.   The only benefit to having a cold is that my obliques are getting a workout every time I cough (okay, my theoretical obliques…not sure if they’re in there or not…hard to find them under all my natural insulation).  I am debating making a card today but the house has been neglected more than my blog so I’ll have to save some energy for a little laundry and mopping session later.

I do have a card to share because I made it last week.  I was playing with my expanded selection of Copic colours (did I mention that between my birthday and Christmas (both in December) I doubled my Copic collection?  That might sound really impressive – and it is to an extent – but I had less than 40 Copics prior to those events.  However, it does mean I have about 80 copics now so I can choose from more than one shade of green or blue, etc.

So, back to the card…I was playing with my new Copics and a new TGF (The Greeting Farm) stamp set I got for Christmas (I’m going to say it’s an Amelia and Oliver set or Oliver and Amelia set…).  I pulled out a couple of pads of 6X6 paper that I hadn’t used yet and decided to go with “Oliver” from Basic Grey.  Using the colours in the paper as a starting point, I came up with this:

I also managed to cut into another sheet of my older “In Color” cardstock.  I need the space these older colours are taking up so I might throw them all into my Inspiration Station in hopes that I reach for them more often.

I still need to dig into my newest stamp goodies so there might be a card tomorrow (needless to say, my 3 card a week goal will not be met this week…I need to add an illness clause.)

Enjoy your weekend.  Stay away from cold germs!
