Arrrgh!  Technology is not my friend today.

I had to upgrade the software I use to write my blog posts and it’s buggy as H-E-double hockey sticks!  Also, today’s card was really difficult to photograph for some reason.  You can’t tell the banners are popped up and the colours are not true to life no matter what I try to do.

Anyway, MIL’s birthday is just a few days after FIL’s.  Both cards have to travel across the pond (along with a pair of gloves MIL left here when they visited earlier this year) so I have to send it a little early in order for both (hopefully) to arrive in time for their respective big days.

I was trying to use some of my scraps of patterned paper to make the card and managed to find 3 pieces that coordinated in tones that she would like.

I saw a cute card on SCS that was created by Teri Anderson (PaperCrafts Go-To Gal) and I decided to CASE it using a PTI balloon die that I recently purchased.

As with all good CASEd cards, I did change some of the elements. (e.g I changed the orientation of the baker’s twine, left off some of the extra stamping on the bottom of the card, whacked an extra staple in my banners ’cause the first one looked lonely and changed out the stamps and papers that were used – CASEing is not copying!)

Hopefully, MIL will enjoy the card and I am grateful for the inspiration and glad to have used a few of my scraps.
