ETA: Yes,  Melanie, the image was cut using Nestabilities.  One of the Labels dies.  You absolutely CAN use Nestabilities in a Big Shot (though I use a Cuttlebug)  Note: They’re not as good for layering as the circles,  squares and rectangles as there is a larger increment in size in the sets.   Enjoy your Big Shot!

When I posted my self-challenge yesterday I forgot to account for blog content for the week I’ve given myself to make cards from my craft room discards.  That means instead of sharing my cards “en masse” on Friday, I’ll have to pick a few to share throughout the week (and THEN do the final reveal on Friday).

This is the first card I made (I actually made three today) with the scraps – They are getting progressively more difficult as I started with the most appealing scraps of paper and images first so the further I get, the less inspired I think I’ll be.

It’s obvious to me why I did this one first – the image is the newest so I’m not remotely sick of the stamp yet.  It’s from Paper Smooches and I coloured a few when I did the cow and dog cards.  Since the image was already cut and coloured, I figured it counted for the challenge.

I grouped all the papers together into colours that coordinated so I paired the cat with the bird paper as birds and cats go together (or the complete opposite of that if you’re worried about cats eating birds).  In any case, card number one turned out okay and I am giving myself bonus points for using some old American Crafts ribbon and three of the purple flat backed pearls that were in the embellishment pile.

Keep checking back.  I’m trying to do three cards per day so I should have plenty to share this week!
