Quick post tonight but I wanted to blog the baby card I finished tonight.

I spent 3 separate sessions in my craft room to complete this card.  The first night I worked out the layout, chose the patterned paper and stamped the image.  Last night I coloured the image and fussy cut the heads of the animals in the umbrella, popped them up on the main image and called it a night.  Tonight, I put together the layout and spent some time fiddling with placement of washi tape, pearls and enamel dots.
It was worth it.  I’m going to go out on a limb and say this is in my top 3 of all-time best baby cards (For long-time blog readers, you know that baby cards are not my strength!).  Modesty aside (ha, ha!), here’s what it looks like:

…and here’s a close-up of the detail:

This is a 5.5″X6″ card so there’s a lot of crafting real estate to fill up.

I used some super cute Echo Park patterned paper (Baby Girl), a Whipper Snapper Designs stamp, 3 rolls of washi tape, doodlebug pearls, Recollections enamel dots and a Mama Elephant die (the “cloud” border).  I also used a Spellbinders circle to cut out the stamped image (I popped a corner of the paper over the die so I could cut a partial circle).
