I know it’s only September and I know I’m too early for Christmas stuff but with all the new Christmas products I’ve purchased lately it’s all I can think about using when I go into my craft room (but I have to stop buying stuff because there’s nowhere to put everything!)

Today is extremely humid here due to the effects that a tropical storm is having on Newfoundland.  We were supposed to get lots of rain but instead it’s very sticky outside.  I’ve got a fan blowing the backings of dimensional foam squares all over my craft room (my room and a fan are not a good combination – it almost looks like it’s snowing in here!)

Anyway, it’s too warm to do any serious crafting but it’s a good day to put together some simple Christmas goodies.

Enter “Snowman Soup”:

These are not complicated – there’s no poem or über-fancy packaging going on here.  I put a packet of Carnation Hot Chocolate with marshmallows (that’s the snowman part) in a glassine bag with a strawberry and cream candy stick (’cause that’s the least vile flavour of the Christmas-coloured candy sticks at my local bulk barn – candy canes are not in season).  I then made a big tag for the front using a Michael’s $1 stamp and the snowman from PTI’s snow globe set.  I just had to trim down the fat little snowman’s body to fit him behind the mug.

The tag is attached to the glassine bag with some baker’s twine.  My bows are a little sloppy at the moment but it’s too warm to fuss with them.

Must go drink some water!
