I’m so stoked to have the energy to post another card to my blog tonight.  I don’t have a lot of energy these days so getting to do something “frivolous” is great! (lots going on in my life – I’m sure you could say the same about yours – I like to think I’m special but we all have “stuff” that gets in the way of what we want to do)

Anyway, today’s card uses an image I coloured a week or so ago paired with some Basic Grey Hopskotch paper.  The colours in the paper go really well with a lot of SU cardstock colours if you’re into that…I find it hard to use some of the more unusual shades of SU cardstock with the patterned papers I like so it was nice to find papers that “fit”.

This one came together super fast and not matting the image (which I ALWAYS used to do) is a bit of a time saver.  I like the look of leaving the image unmatted plus it also saves me the trouble of looking for a contrasting cardstock colour so the mat doesn’t blend into the card base.

My sewing machine is near the end of the spool so it’s acting up a little – thust the wonky stitching (okay, it’s always wonky but it’s extra crooked today).  I’ll have to change out that spool before I start my next card.

I have a few errands to run tomorrow but I’m hoping to get some time in my craft room because I’m in the MOOD to make some cards!
