I’ve been playing with my PTI stamp set (the only non-seasonal, non-sentiment set I have at the moment) and have to admit I’m struggling to adopt the necessary style to pull off the PTI look.  I truly love all the clever stamps Nichole sells but it’s harder to use this set than it looks.  Well, that’s not quite true – it’s not “hard” to use the set but it’s hard for me to capture that crisp PTI style and still stay true to my own whimsical style.

This is only the second card I’ve attempted using Everyday Button Bits and I think I didn’t do too badly (though I regret my ink colour choice on the hot air balloon bases)…I swapped out a few cardstock choices and finally found something that pleased me:

I’ll keep slogging away because I’m determined to get my money’s worth out of my PTI order and I want to love using the stamps as much as I love their cardstock.    Even if I don’t get the images down pat, the sentiments make me smile.  I love the mix of fonts and the sentiments themselves are just lovely.

I also want to take a minute to thank you guys for taking the time to leave comments.  I really appreciate you going that extra step to give me a little love.  As a better thank you, I’ll have some blog candy this weekend…a bow easy (mini) so you can make perfect bows.  My friend Karen gave me one for Christmas and it’s pretty cool so I picked up an extra one from “One Crazy Stamper” to give to you!

Keep an eye out for that…you know your chances of winning will be pretty high.
