I cannot wait for “Sprinter” to be over.

We had almost 40 cm of snow last Wednesday – just when it looked like the grass was finally going to burst through the Winter snow residue.

I’ve lost my craft room window again (totally blocked by snow) and every driveway in the city is now a hidden surprise…you have to inch out ever so slowly so you don’t get hit by a passing car!

In hopes of coaxing the Spring to appear, I made a bunch of sun-themed cards over the last week (some are CASEd) using my SSS Card Kit of the Month for March (April’s kit will probably reach me by May…gotta love Canada Post).

Card 1:

This card didn’t turn out as I’d planned (surprise!  They hardly every do) but I had lots of fun playing with embossing paste (used ink to colour it for the first time) and a new Tim Holtz stencil I picked up at my LSS on Thursday (hey, they were having a sale…and I have to support the local economy!).

Card 2:

I had a little trouble photographing this one so apologies for the wonky pink.  This card is a complete rip-off (CASE) of a card from the Simon Says Stamp blog.  I loved it so much I had to reproduce it. (only flaw is that the sequins in my kit were obviously substituted for the ones featured as they are a lot bigger – that’s not a complaint…the card kits clearly state that products might be substituted)

Card 3 (and 4):

This is also a CASE but I did slightly change up a few things.  (also from SSS blog)  I loved the yellow patterned paper so much that I had to make two cards to use up the sheet as I didn’t want to waste any of it.

That’s it!  The end of my Sprinter (Spring/Winter for those that are not familiar with the seasonal portmanteau) Sunshine Series.

Moving on to Monsters and Mother’s Day so check back soon.
