It’s been a productive weekend.  I finished two card orders, started on a third and got one more Christmas card designed.  Of course, my housework is lacking…

Today’s card uses several different paper patterns – always a challenge!  This layout was a card sketch some time ago (either on SCS or a blog…sorry, don’t remember where it’s from) and it works great for multiple patterns.  I like to use double-sided PP when I make this type of card as the manufacturer has already ensured the papers will go together so there’s no guess work.  If you can find a cardstock base that goes with the paper you’ve won half the battle.

My cake is covered in doodlebug glitter – I tend to do that when using smaller stamp images plus it makes sense for a cake, I think!

The cardstock has been splattered with ink – I thought it was too plain so I used my spritzer and a regal rose marker to add a little interest to the celery cardstock.  I love using the spritzer but it’s hard to know when to stop.  I think I managed to stop in time on this card.

Time to start work!
