I don’t have a lot to show for my afternoon of crafting with Karen but we had a lovely chat, I got to show her a couple of techniques (which I love doing) and we had a good time.  What more could you ask for?

While Karen was here we decided to make some Christmas tags…they seem to be all the rage at the moment.  Karen hasn’t been feeling well so we stuck with something quick to make that wouldn’t bother her neck too much.  Here’s what I came up with while we were playing:

They’re very me…vintage-style with a touch of whimsy.  I used my Cricut to cut the tags and the snowmen.  The tags are from “tags, bags, boxes and more – the scallop tag – and the snowman is from Doodlecharms.  If you have a Cricut and feel like trying it out, my tags are 4 3/4″ and the snowmen are 2 1/2” in size.  I used the “charm” button on the cartridge for the snowman and just cut the loop off the background die cut (you’ll know what that means if you have a Cricut).

The papers are Making Memories and Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses.  The cardstock is kraft with some black and cranberry strips.  The sentiment is from Whipper Snapper’s “Spirit of Christmas” stamp set and it fits perfectly across the front of my tags.

Back tomorrow with a Christmas card.
