…the very next day!

Yes, ANOTHER cat card. My last for a couple of days I think…it’s time to move on to other stamps that are looking for love (in all the wrong places) plus you may have noticed that DN4 still has NOT made an appearance on the old blogaroo…I just can’t force these things!

I haven’t been whipping up that many cards over the last couple of days…but I have been cooking up some ideas and I hope to turn them into reality ASAP.  I still have a couple of new stamps from WS to make cards from (I try to make at least one card from every new stamp I buy as soon as possible to make sure they get used) plus I’ve got new rubber from PaperWorks Co that is dying to make an appearance.  The images Peggy sent me to work with are exactly the style of stamps I enjoy using so it’s very exciting to have all those new toys just waiting in the wings!

Back to today’s card…

I thought it might be time to branch out a little and start working on some baby cards, get well cards an anniversary cards (and maybe some wedding cards too though they are my least favourite to make) so today we have an anniversary card feature a Whipper Snapper stamp and some Basic Grey paper:

I must say I’m really happy with how the upper paper makes such a great contrast for the image and that slick Stampin’ Up button.  I bought these buttons during Sale-A-Bration and they were quite expensive but I finally cracked them open and I’m kind of wishing they sold a package with just this style of button as this is about the cutest button in my entire stash!

When I was looking for my hemp (that sounds bad!) to tie a bow on the button I remembered I had some ancient Karen Foster scrapper’s floss tucked away in my embellishment drawer and that one spool was orange (I think the other one is red) so I dug it out and it was exactly what I needed!

What do you think?!  Isn’t this image perfect for an anniversary card?

Before I go, I’d like to share a picture of a card that was sent to me by Melanie Mallek (who always leaves such nice comments).  She took the time to send me a picture of a card she made using the image and paper scraps I sent out in the mail a couple of weeks ago).  Here’s Melanie’s card:

If you make a card with the stuff you received and want to send a picture of your creation, I’d love to share it on my blog.  If you don’t have my email address just leave a comment requesting it and I’ll drop you a line.  I don’t post my email address on my blog as the amount of spam I get just for comments is unbelievable and I don’t want to clog up my inbox as well.

Enjoy your Sunday!
