It’s that time of year again…one of my busiest “seasons” is Mother’s Day and every year I vow I will start earlier so I don’t feel rushed but it hasn’t happened so far.

However, I had a VERY productive day on Sunday and managed to design three cards (and actually make 8) so I’ve got a good start.  I just need to keep the momentum going.

Here is design number one (and my favourite so far):

I used the SU DP from sell-a-bration (that stuff has come in handy!) and went with colours pulled from the pattern on the paper.  I added a touch of pink because I wanted pink and yellow flowers.  Each tulip is dusted with some doodlebug glitter and the little bird is also coated in glitter.

I dug out my heat gun and white embossing powder for this project.  I don’t have a “happy mother’s day” stamp so “love you” will have to do!

Back tomorrow with card number two!
