Whew!  It is done.  Done, done, done.  My final 2010 Father’s Day card is finished!

I got this stamp when I was in England last year.  It’s quite cute, really.  I paper pieced the shirt so there wasn’t too much to colour (I used my copics) and the card worked up pretty quickly.

The hardest part was finding some manly paper…I wanted to use the paper with the pencils on it from my teacher card but I didn’t like how it looked (too linear) so I cut it on an angle to give the pencils a diagonal direction.  Problem solved!  Of course, my description of the way I cut the paper would make more sense if you could actually see the card (I never show it straight away or you wouldn’t read all my chatter!) so here it is:

Cute, hey?  I was so excited to finish I even staged my homemade light box! (of course, I cropped out everything when I took the picture and that reminded me why I don’t bother staging my shots!)

Quick details – Cosmo Cricket “The Boyfriend” paper plus a strip of green from another CC pad (Get Happy?), Red Riding Hood cardstock, spiral punch, a tag punch of some sort from SU for the computer generated sentiment and that’s about it!  No “manbellishment” on this card.  Not even a scrap of twine.

Ah, the relief!
