Today is my Aunt’s birthday (the aunt that you hear about from time to time – one of those people you actually enjoy making things for because they are wonderfully enthusiastic and appreciative of your efforts – if you don’t have such a person in your life, I highly recommend you get one!)

I made her a stack of “vintage” Christmas cards and some gift card holders a couple of weeks ago and also picked her up a couple of luxury bath products for her gift this year.  I don’t want to gush (and usually I don’t!!!) but buying or making a gift for my Aunt is the best experience for me.  I enjoy finding something that I think she’ll like and can’t wait to give it to her.

Anyway, I needed to make a card to go with her gifts and had quite a bit of left-over paper from my notepad project on Saturday.  She does like these colours so I used the larger pieces to make a card (which is CASEd).

The stamp is one I just purchased in the same order that the Doodlebug paper was in.  I got it half price and it was a set I have been thinking about getting for a while.

Because the bow is so large, I made a custom envelope to go with it.  I don’t have any 12X12 papers from this line (and rarely purchase papers that size anyway) so I used some old paper that I had from when I first started card making.  At least the theme and the colors match!

Going back to the stack of cards and gift card holders, here’s how I packaged them up for giving:

The cards are in a large glassine bag and the gift card holders are in a small glassine bag that is fastened to the larger bag with some washi tape.

Happy Birthday, Aunt G!
