Well, that was a fun 8 or 9 days.

I’ve had a terrible cold since last Saturday and I’m still feeling a bit congested  – I can’t believe how long it’s taking to get over this nasty bug!

Zero time spent in the craft room (despite being off from work for 2 days – couldn’t even get out of bed!).

This morning I decided to brave my craft room and it was just as messy as I recalled.  I spent about 40 minutes tidying up and rearranging a few things (I could easily spend another 40 days doing that…this room needs an overhaul!).  During the tidy up, I freed up 2 photo boxes that I usually keep all my 6X6 paper in.  I’m currently using one for paper scraps and the other is for WIPs (work in progress).  Now that I have a designated WIP spot, I filled it with a little Spring project I’m working on for my coworkers – I’m not in the mood for mass production today – and moved on to my Whipper Snapper project.  I really want to use my beautiful WS stamps (possibly to justify obtaining more…) and some of the newer paper pads I got after Christmas.

Here’s today’s card:

I have to tell you that I could NOT do justice to how colourful this is.  My next project will be to sort out my picture-taking spot to see if I can get it back to the way it used to be.

I used Doodlebug Designs paper (dear Doodlebug Designs – you’ve done a wonderful job of modernizing your paper crafting lines – much more appealing to me!) plus some Doodlebug washi and a few Doodlebug “sprinkles” (rhinestones).  I also used a Simon Says Stamp die and stamp set that I’ve had for a while but this is the first time I’ve used it.

Quite happy with this card – it’s really cheerful and I used lots of unused products in my stash combined with an older stamp.  It’s always great to “shop your stash” instead of buying and buying (which I do tend to do in cycles) more new stuff.
