Are you getting tired of ruffled ribbon?  I’m not!  Something will eventually take its place but for now just sit back and enjoy the ride because I’m so happy to finally be able to use ribbon on my cards!

This particular card is for a young girl who is turning 13.  I wanted to make something a little funky and not to babyish – for some reason I decided purple was the colour of choice again.

I’ve had this cell phone stamp for some time.   I made a couple of cards with it when I first got it but haven’t used it since.  It comes with a couple of cute text messages that you can stamp in the window and I’m surprised I haven’t made better use of it up to this point.

I recycled some plastic from a package of basic grey buttons for the window in the phone and pop dotted the phone just because that’s the kind of thing one should do with a stamp like this.  One should also paper piece the stamp because it’s perfect for that too!

Speaking of yadda, yadda – maybe I should zip it for a second and actually show you the card:

I think if I had to redo this card I’d use cream cardstock instead of white for the background on the phone.  It’s a bit stark against all those nice purples, pinks and greens.  Other than that, I’m hoping this goes over well.  Teens are a scary audience!

I stamped the words yadda yadda all over the green  paper and added some tiny rhinestones in each corner (and on the phone button).  The paper is basic grey Kioshi and the ribbon is probably dots and dashes or whatever it’s called from Michaels.

I think I’m going to take tomorrow night off from blogging to get some Father’s Day orders sorted out but I’ll be back on Saturday as I’m due to post on the PaperWorks Co blog that day.  I am also in the process of listing the design team for PWCO in my sidebar and that should be up by Saturday so you can check out the other members of the team if you’d like!
